On Wednesday evening I went into the AT&T Store located on N. Collins in Arlington, TX. I went in to return my iPhone 4 because the reception was horrible so my plan was to put my iPhone 3GS in place of the iPhone 4. The rep confirmed that everything was clear and that he would be reversing my upgrade and that he would make sure that he would cancel my upgrade and that I would get a credit on my account for the amount of the phone. So I ask the guy to program my iPhone 3GS just to make sure it is all working correctly .. I was certain he could handle this basic task.

I leave the store and go home and a few hours later my mother-in-law calls my cell phone asking for my wife… I thought that’s odd but My wife then notices that she is not getting any service at all on her cell phone at all on her iPhone 4. At first I was like, you see that is why I returned my device but this was a bit different so she picked up the home phone and called her cell phone number and I answered.. HELLO!! At this moment we realized that AT&T messed up and programmed the device with the incorrect phone number. So the only way to fix it now is to take both devices into a corporate AT&T store. Time I really don’t have but will have to make since our business depends on those numbers being available. I just hope they did not lose my phone number and that it is still tied to my account.

AT&T MESSED UP EVERYTHING, AGAIN

I say AGAIN because

about a year ago at the Grand Prairie store on i20 store the very same thing happened to us where we where upgrading or purchasing and iphone and they activated the device the put the device on my line in place of my wife’s account so my wife who was on the road had no service. And the only way for her to get service just like in our current situation is to take our devices into a corporate AT&T and get a SIM Card. So I have to wait till an AT&T store opens up in the morning and take it in to the store. Lucky for for me I am not going out of town on business.. I have a feeling that once other carriers like Verizon begin to start carrying the iPhone AT&T is going to begin to see end of your losses.

I have the coolest mobile device that has ever been placed out on the market besides the blackberry and the star tac. You can tweet, text, add a friend, edit your fan page, update a note while backpacking throughout the mountains in some far away country while listening to your favorite music artists from today or from when you where younger it can take you back to that day. I can even read the book of Matthew and play thousands of games I meant “Apps” that are available through the app store but I have a really hard time making and receiving calls in my home, around my home, driving down I-20, sometimes when I am on 30 and many times I feel like a failure because my phone keeps saying that I “failed” or it says “call failed” but I just see the “failed” after seeing it so many times it get’s embedded in your head. I tried to work this out with customer care and they said that you are stuck with the service and that if you cancel you would have to pay an early termination fee. I said that’s not cool so I got in touch with people higher up that respond to cases from the presidents office. They had some lady call me who was working from her home. The reason I know this is because unfortunately her child was sick and I could hear the little kiddo crying in the background so I didn’t hear back from her either, but I can understand the kids come first. AT&T has recently admitted that their service stinks in NYC and San Francisco read that article here.. However I am wondering why they think it’s winning awards in my area like Dallas, TX and the surrounding areas. I was able to get one rep who spoke to me that said that service in my area is not guaranteed in cars and in houses. I guess I am limited to making calls on my BIKE right AT&T??

I guess I would have liked a little better communication and a good way out of the agreement since the service does not work inside of my house or around it. I am committed to bringing this news to as many people as I can about how bad the service is for the iphone in my area as much as they are committed in making sure that they take care of me as a customer and not just activating my line of service and making sure that they have me locked in for the 2 year agreement. If your having problems and need support these are numbers to the higher ups that may be able to help you. It’s better than talking to the customer care reps that hang up with you after you ask to speak to their supervisor right?

AT&T Mobility Office Of The President: 1-877-707-6220
Paula Burke, Executive Care: 952-703-2640
Mic Murphy, Executive Care Manager: 952-703-2310
Reyna Selena, Executive Care: 952-703-2369

I remember when AT&T would ” Reach Out And Touch Someone” now they don’t even return your calls…

I hope there is a better future for the customers of AT&T who have the iPhone and have been forced to use a sub par service because they have no way out of the big GIANT phone companies legal arm..

Have a Creative Day,
