Chris Fantich of Fantich Media Group indicted for conspiracy to commit aggravated assault…

April 14th, 2010

Chris Fantich indicted for conspiracy to commit aggravated assault…

Chris Fantich brother of Fantich Media Group owner Marc Fantich was indicted on March 17, 2010 at 4:20 pm in what seems like a hairy plot in what has two defendants Chris Fantich of Fantich Media Group and Chance Lee Jenkins being charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault which is a 2nd degree felony in the State of Texas which carries a penalty of 2-20 years prison term or a $10,000 fine..

Now why would Chris Fantich or Chance Jenkins want to cause me bodily harm? If you your just now tuning in you let me tell you. Marc Fantich owner of Fantich Media Group and RGV Magazine,  the brother of Chris Fantich owed Chakery Design $1000-$1500. Marc Fantich didn’t want to pay the final balance. So I decided to post online about how Marc Fantich breached his web agreement, which upsets Marc Fantich very dearly. He even threatened to send someone to my door to cause me bodily harm.. Luckily for Marc Fantich his brother Chris Fantich will take the fall for thoughtless endeavor. One would ask how did Chris Fantich get involved in this matter since the dispute was between Fantich Media Group and Chakery Design.  I have to ask what would you have rather spent $1,000 or time in prison of a family member.. plus court cost and attorney fees..

I came across this video clip of Chris Fantich featured in a Rainbow Play Systems TV Commercial.. I have included the clip for your viewing pleasure. I particularly would not want this guy showing up to play with my children..

Fantich Media Group Update

July 26th, 2009
Marc Fantich, Fantich Media, Fantich Media Group

Marc Fantich, Fantich Media Group

Marc Fantich from the Fantich Media Group breached his web agreement with our website design company. So instead of hiring an attorney or passing it over to collections I chose to simply talk about it on my blog, facebook, twitter, and youtube.

I sent out a blast email to some of Marc Fantich’s closest friends so of course it made me look like the bad guy. But who wouldn’t side with their personal friend Marc Fantich in McAllen? Marc did a great job though of sending me the feedback from his friends, threatened to have someone come choke me, and even brought my children into the matter whom are only 3 and 2 years old.. which I have the emails again to back up.

I have been accused of handling this unprofessionally and can understand your points.. some people agree with how I am handling it seeing how you can go to www.fantichmedia.com and see that he is using the website design that Chakery Design provided him. He agreed to a cost.. and if I was late on finishing the project I offered a $250 discount for the lateness on my behalf. He seems to like the site and is using it.

At any rate here are some of the responses from some of Marc Fantich’s closest friends in the McAllen, TX area who seem to agree with Marc’s position that stealing files and using them without paying for them is simply ok.

This email is from Marc Fantich to me.
Yikes! No you didn’t? Did you…. Did you…… Holy God. You thought I was ruthless? Better hide Bitch. Manasse gonna rip you to threads!”

This email is from Chris Vonwald who seems to work for The Monitor in McAllen. I hope he doesn’t kiss his mother with that mouth..

Marc,

Just got a crazy e-mail from some idiot about your company. Tell him hes an ass for putting that out.

This short message from Pete Salas from Entravision
well this guy just made an enemy for life…..

Note to Pete: When you have friends like Marc Fantich… Who needs an Enemy..

This next email is from James Judkins and he gave his assement of the situation but again a friend of the Fantich Media Group.
” I hesitate to do anything but delete this message, but….

Typically in a situation like this, both people are at least 75% wrong.
And, the first person to start talking, usually tells the biggest lies.

If I was in the market for new web designers, and in fact I am, after receiving this from Mr. Chakery — and see that he has disclosed to the public personal and private emails — then I would hesitate to do business with that company.

Note To James: James.. when I sent out this message I wasn’t trying to earn any of Marc Fantich’s friends website design business. If you are in the market for a website please by all means contact Marc Fantich he will farm it out to someone like me but just not as good. It might look good it just won’t bring in any traffic. Good luck with that sir.

This email comes from Connie Bearden out of La Feria, TX to Marc
“Well!  That put an interesting end to a very long week!

Does the man realize what he just did?!  Blast email?  That is so RGV!!!  lol… This is a war that he will NEVER qualify to participate in — let alone win!  Looks to me like his business just got a better/faster rating (to the negative side) than if dealing with BBB or D/B!

Take a breath… enjoy your weekend… he will be trying to recoup from this stupidity for a while~with little or no success!”

Connie

Note To Connie: Connie, I enjoyed your message as I am sure Marc did as well. I took a very deep breath, enjoyed my weekend and worked a little because that’s just what I do.

This next email came from Patti Sunday and it was a direct reply to everyone. Marc fabricated this one a little or I will never know. he told me that Patti Sunday claims to pick up the clients that I have lost. But I don’t see any record of that nor would it bother me as clients do change providers from time to time. Marc would know that first hand. But here goes Patti Sunday’s Message.

I see a lot of pain here. I do not even want to read it. Look, times are challenging. We are in a recession. McAllen folks are really talented- and in many different ways. We need to help each other..lift each other up. Turn the other cheek and I guess find a constructive outlet for our frustrations.. or just be able to say

I suck.. I need a time out..

Just the physics of the wasted energy and creativity in whatever is going on here…

Maybe this is your type of therapy to vent…

Looks like a potential power struggle to me-

can we do a take #2 on this whole thing

or just crash this file …??Patti

Note To Patti: You hit the nail on the head! This is my way to vent. That is all I am doing here. I have tweeted about, facebooked about, youtubed, and will continue to blog about it. Could I take down the files? Of course! Will I? Ask yourself this question. Would Marc?

Well as I bring this post to a close here are some of my latest games for the weekend…. Do this… Go to www.google.com and do a search for “Fantich Media Group” on page 2 or 3 you will see a cool youtube video explaining in person what this is all about. You can also view the video by clicking here. It is all about Fantich Media Breaches Web Agreement.

Oh by the way I am selling a domain if your interested please let me know. The price is negotiable.

Fantich Media Breaches Agreement

July 24th, 2009

Marc Fantich owner of Fantich Media Group in McAllen, TX signed an agreement for Chakery Design to design the Fantich Media Website. Marc Fantich was provided with several mock ups and he chose this mock up . We then proceeded to add content provided Fantich Media. Marc Fantich commented ” I like the way you have it.” in an email dated 3/5/09.

Marc Fantich even went on to send me feedback from his son that he appointed as the project manager for this project. In an email dated 3/5/09 at 1:49pm.

“Just heard from ERIC….. here’s what he said…. (Hope you understand 24 year olds)

expletitive beaaaauuutiful! “

So we are off to a good start and building out the website that we were contracted to design. The client wanted the site ready by April 1, 2009. We worked with the client and we fell behind a little on the project at some points but offered a discount to the client for this delay on our behalf. But… I must say that our web agreement clearly states that we do not begin a project till we have the content to build the website. Anyone can understand that right? In this case we were still recieving content on 3/31/09.

Needless to say the website went live on 4/1/09. You can see the website here .  On 4/29/01 I sent the client the final invoice. Here are his responses below.

“Cash is a little tight… I’ll do my best … There is no discount for being 200% late? Or is that just the way it goes?”

Marc Fantich, Fantich Media Group

Special Note: Chakery Design gave Fantich Media Group a $250 discount for lateness…

More emails from Marc Fantich of Fantich Media Group Below.

Date 5/12/09 in an email to me cc’d to Marsha who is Marc Fantich’s mom in accounting see below.

Business is real slow and I need a week or so…. Marc

Marsha, This $1000 is for the web site we ordered for our company a few months back. We need to pay him as soon as we can. Marc

Date 5/27/09 in an email to me from Marc Fantich of Fantich Media Group

Cash is really tight…

Things are really slow right now and I have a guy doing a redo on the (3 month site) site.

I’ll pay you, but it will be delayed.

Date 6/1/09 in an email to me From Marc Fantich of Fantich Media Group

you are making it hard to sign this $500 check. It’s been on my desk since Wed.

Ok… Marc Fantich actually owes me $1000.00 but refuses to pay it. He has since used the site till yesterday when I asked him to remove the site and take it down. He tried to intimidate me by telling me that he was in a meeting with 3 lawyers, a judge, a candidate, and a guy with 40 million dollars. Working on an election. He said they took a short break to tell them that i planned to blog about this and he said that they were laughing at me. He told me to look up defamation of charictor… yes he spelled character incorrectly.

I was warned about Marc Fantich before i started doing business with him. I was told clearly to make sure that I got paid upfront. But I trusted him. Silly me…

Irony has a funny way of playing itself out though. Marc wanted me to offer a very close friend/business partners a great deal on a website design project.

He sent this email below…. Dated 2/18/09 Subject New Client and he CC’d his friend Ryan Murphy.

Malcom… “Undisclosed Name” is my business partner in this business here

He needs a website… Please contact him and extend him all courtesies that you’d extend to me.

His email is above.

I think his project in much more complicated than mine.

How’s mine coming? Marc

In the very next email sent to me from Marc Fantich of Fantich Media Group he instructs me to make sure that I get paid in full upfront his message below.

From Marc Fantich To Me

“For your eyes only… CASH UP FRONT!”

In summary to my blog which are all facts and I have all of the emails backed up and saved to disk for proof I would pose the question why would anyone do business with a person who is willing to treat friends/business partners, clients, or vendors in this manner. I am simply a website design company based out of the Dallas, TX but started in the McAllen area. Thankfully I don’t have to deal with clients like Marc Fantich Media Group on a regular basis. If you have any questions or would like to share your stories about this company good or bad I would love to hear them.
